Charlotte Betry, flute
Charlotte Betry began her classical training at a very young age on piano and continued her love for music on flute at the age of 9. Ms. Betry began studying under Yamaha Performing Artist, Tracy Harris in 2004 and continued her studies with Ms. Harris for ten years before transferring to California State University, Northridge in fall of 2012 where she studied under Sandra Kipp.
Ms. Betry received her Bachelor of Music Performance degree Summa Cum Laude in May 2014 with the distinction of being a Phi Kappa Lambda Honors Society member and is currently continuing her studies at CSUN pursuing a Master of Music degree in Flute performance. Ms. Betry currently studies with Heather Clark.
In 2009, Ms. Betry became a member of the Kings Symphony Orchestra and the Symphony of the Sequoias. She is currently a member of the Wyndfall Chamber Orchestra, the Sterling Flute Choir and the California State University, Northridge Wind Ensemble and Symphony Orchestra as well as various ensembles in the greater Los Angeles area. Charlotte has attended master classes with artists such as Nicola Mazzanti, Carol Wincenc, Jim Walker, Cathy Karoly, Mary-Karen Clardy and John Barcellona to name a few. In August of 2014, Ms. Betry was invited to participate at the National Flute Association’s annual convention with the Wyndfall Chamber Orchestra. Charlotte does freelance work in Southern California and Central California and maintains a private flute studio.
